Story

When nights drew long and day took to retreat, of shadows’ quick ambush and owls answering the moon, two outlaws set about a clearing in the forest. In this clearing they took to exploit a law of old - they laid strong foundations, ornamented with crude render and stark pitch. The outlaws toiled through the dark, through drudge and filth to finish their work. When all was done and the sun broke over the trees, wisps of white escaped the flue as they stood to admire their work. All the land that lay within an axe-fall was theirs. Tall stood the structure, a fruit of their work, but it was known by all who passed it as an ugly house.
